Sewing Bug

Lately I have been in the mood to sew. This never happens. My mom taught us to do basic sewing growing up, and she is an avid quilter. But I just never really found interest in it. Somehow the bug has caught me though, and now I have all these ideas of projects I want to do. Mainly I want to start making my house look like a home, and so I've been working on this wall hanging of three chickens for my kitchen. There's part of me that's still a country gal, and it'll probably show up in my kitchen. But it's been so fun, rewarding and relaxing at the same time.

This weekend was quite a roller coaster. I don't know what happened on Saturday. I woke up emotional, and couldn't stop tears all day. Easily frustrated, no patience, and would cry at anything. My poor children definitely saw the Wicked Witch all day long, along with her Wicked spouse, who also was having a short patience day with the kids. Poor little guys. We finally felt so bad at the end of the day, we tried to think of one thing they did right so we could take them out for an ice cream cone.

Luckily yesterday was NOT a repeat. It was a really good day. They actually did well in church which was nice and I actually got something out of the messages presented. I was able to teach my relief society lesson and felt good about how it went. It was just an overall good day. I'm excited about the week, and all the projects I want to get done. I have some fun ones to show here over the next couple days. I'm going to do better at blogging. I promise. The last month has been rather sparse!
