This morning the girls and I had fun drawing some cartoons. They would tell me whether they wanted a boy or girl, earrings, lips, curly hair, straight hair etc. Then they wanted me to draw grandpa. I have to admit that I'm not the greatest at doing exact look a likes, especially from memory. But we gave it try anyway. We were laughing pretty good when we were done and they thought it looked like grandpa! I don't think it looks too bad. So then I had to play around and try cleaning it up on the computer. Did some paper piecing for color, and some styles for texture and turned it into our lovable grandpa sticker you see here.
Sometimes it feels good to just break out of the norm and have some fun. For those of you that don't know Grandpa Tippetts. Here's a photo. The only noticeable feature I forgot from memory was the cleft in the chin. Next time I'll know. (He looks gruff - especially in all his picture, but the sticker shows what he's really like.) I know he'd never read this blog so I'm safe in saying that too! :)
I used Go Boldly, Urban Gazette, and SS Tools: Style - Paper Texture 4901 on the sticker.
