Here is my Illustration Friday drawing for the topic visitor. I actually got this one done ahead of time. Yeah! I used watercolor pencils which I have come to love. So easy to use, a very quick way to paint. Especially if you have little kids around. There is no mess for them to play in, plus they have fun drawing on their own paper with them and then using water on top to make their own paints. So it's a medium we can actually do together. Although I did realize I need some more color variation. As my little set doesn't have a lot. Hhhmmm... think my husband will go for some new ones?

Captain

Here's my illustration for Illustration Friday's theme last week of "captain". Too late to post there, as I couldn't think of anything for the life of me to do. But after working on some drawings for a friend of mine that she wanted I decided to combine the two. Hopefully this week's topic won't be so late in coming. This time I have an idea for it.

I used these paper templates for the background texture.

Discovery

I've been wanting to do something for Illustration Friday ever since I found the site, and finally got around to trying something last night, even though the topic actually switched today.. Oh well I at least did something for it - this was a quick one, but I like the results I got so I'm excited to play around more and take a little bit more time on one. The topic was discovery.

I was going to list all the supplies, but the list was going to be enormous... practically every green paper from the ScrapGirls.com Boutique. I did use the SS Tools: Styles - Paper Textures 4901.
