I'm so grateful for Beau's inspiration. It's helpful to me, as well. Thank you for sharing this experience to help all of us "tired mothers".Rebekahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11259789138629369410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17275338.post-79350453822689608942009-02-18T08:52:00.000-08:002009-02-18T08:52:00.000-08:00Just the other day I was hit out of nowhere with s...Just the other day I was hit out of nowhere with some hard news. I immediately started thinking about how I could escape. I realized I had the whole entire day to go through, taking care of my kids, making meals and such, and that I wasn't going to get anytime to myself to just escape it all and think. It was a hard realization for me. But I think the idea is that we ask God to come right into that moment. Into "our actuals" if you will. :)

I love the definitions of barren...I've never thought of that verse that way. Of course I have felt all those things at different times in my weeks as a mom. So thank you for this insight. I think it's amazing that you and Beau were able to have such a civil conversation about some hard things in your life. That's awesome.Mandyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14885272614057485240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17275338.post-11061460882009354832009-02-17T21:35:00.000-08:002009-02-17T21:35:00.000-08:00Shalae, I was just thinking about this same thing ...Shalae, I was just thinking about this same thing earlier today. Thanks for sharing this it really made me think about my perspective and where my priorities are and where they should be. I hope that things are going better for you.Elisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12425155337129312215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17275338.post-78796464915672281432009-02-17T18:48:00.000-08:002009-02-17T18:48:00.000-08:00Oh Shalae, how did you know that I would need this...Oh Shalae, how did you know that I would need this post today? :) Thank you so much for sharing your insights into this feeling of being barren and exhausted. I am sure we all go through this as mothers at one time or another (or a lot of times during the course of a week!) and as hard as it is to look at it from another angle, it's also liberating. Knowing that I don't need to run, but that through Christ I can be strong and have a support system that I didn't realize I had before. So just thank you for sharing this, it's helped me much more than you can know today. :)Laurelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09030755756691596495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17275338.post-50201101976953378422009-02-17T14:59:00.000-08:002009-02-17T14:59:00.000-08:00This is a great message Shalae!
